The UFC’s first European show of 2017 is set for March 18th at the O2 Arena in London, England. The last time the UFC was in the UK’s capital, the event was headlined by former middleweight champion Anderson Silva and future middleweight champion Michael Bisping.
Though March 18th’s UFC Fight Night 107 is currently without a main event, the announced card is rounding out with intriguing match-ups featuring top European prospects such as Marc Diakiese and Tom Breese. Yesterday the promotion announced that the event would also feature a featherweight showdown between Arnold Allen and Makwan Amirkhani.

England’s Arnold ‘Almighty’ Allen has a pro record of 11-1. He last fought at UFC Fight Night 84 – Silva vs. Bisping, where he defeated Yaotzin Meza via a lopsided decision. Before that the 23-year-old scored an impressive guillotine finish over Alan Omer at UFC Fight Night 69 in Berlin.
Makwan Amirkhani aka ‘Mr. Finland’ is 13-2 and coming off of a win over Mike Wilkinson, also at UFC Fight Night 84. Amirkhani versus Wilkinson was an entertaining affair that saw both men engage in plenty of ‘trash talk’ during the lead-up. Prior to that bout Amirkhani finished Masio Fullen and Andy Ogle in under two minutes (combined).
This will be both Allen and Amirkhani’s first fight in over a year. Allen was previously matched-up against super-prospect Mirsad Bektic at UFC 204, but pulled out for undisclosed reasons. Tickets for UFC London go on sale on January 27th.
UFC Fight Night 107 streams live on UFC Fight Pass.
