UFC Hall-of-Famer Tito Ortiz put a stamp of his decorated mixed martial arts career by defeating fellow veteran Chael Sonnen at Bellator 170. The MMA pioneer also pocketed a good amount of money for his retirement bout, taking home $300,000 for 2 minutes of work inside the Bellator cage.

Ortiz first competed for Bellator in 2014, and is on record to have received the same $300,000 paycheck on at least 3 of his 4 bouts with the promotion.

His opponent, Sonnen, took home $50,000 during this Bellator debut. Paul Daley, who landed a highlight reel knockout during the main card, also earned $50,000.

The complete payouts have been obtained by MMA Fighting, and can be seen below. It’s worth noting that Bellator isn’t as restrictive as the UFC when it comes to outside sponsorship, so the more popular fighters are likely to end up with a much higher payday than the reported figures.
