Things are heating up between Bellator 170 headliners Chael Sonnen and Tito Ortiz.
As is par for the course with Sonnen, ‘The American Gangster’ attacked his opponent with a barrage of insults at the pre-fight press conference in Hollywood, California.
The one that stood out, though, was his ‘nasty’ line about Ortiz’ ex-wife and former porn star Jenna Jameson.
“Tito always says I’m using my mouth to get my opportunities,” Sonnen told reporters, per Marc Raimondi of MMA Fighting. “The only person that I know that made money using their mouth is his ex-wife.”
The comment infuriated Ortiz, who was visibly shaken and intently staring at his opponent from across the platform.
“Just to correct you, there was never no marriage,” Ortiz replied. “You’re a f*cking punk, dude. That’s what you call class, right here, compared to no class.”
Sonnen, who hasn’t fought since 2013, relished the limelight and joked about his ‘bad guy’ persona.
“That was a nasty line by me,” Sonnen said. “They don’t call you The Bad Guy for nothing.”
Jameson brushed off the comments on Twitter, claiming that it was the first ‘dumb’ thing she’s heard Sonnen say.

Ortiz and Sonnen will collide in a light heavyweight bout at Bellator 170. The event takes place Saturday, January 21, at The Forum in Inglewood, California.
