Number five-ranked middleweight contender Gegard Mousasi is currently on a streak, winning his last four fights in the UFC. After dismantling Uriah Hall in their rematch last November, he is aching to get back into action, sooner than later.

After every win, Mousasi has been calling out the top contenders in his division, from former champions Chris Weidman, Luke Rockhold and Anderson Silva, to number six-ranked Robert Whittaker. At this point, the former Strikeforce light heavyweight champion has grown tired of waiting around, as he feels he could clean up the division, en route to the title.

“If I fight the right fight, I’m a bad matchup for everyone,” Mousasi told FOX Sports. “I feel I have the best stand up. Luke Rockhold’s not going to take me down. Chris Weidman’s not going to take me down. Their wrestling is great, but they have to set it up with strikes.”

“Heavyweights cannot take me down at this moment so no middleweight is going to take me down. All I can say is I’m very confident. I’m looking to fight those guys.”

Mousasi particularly was waiting for a call to fight Anderson Silva next. Instead, the UFC decided to pit “The Spider” against Derek Brunson for UFC 208’s co-main event feature. Mousasi, quite expectedly was not pleased, and pointed out how he was ready to take on anyone in the roster.

“They can say whatever they want. I fought Machida after injury. I went to Sweden to fight Gustafsson but he got injured. I was willing to fight DC when Jon Jones got pulled off the card. I was willing to fight Anthony Johnson (at UFC 206). Of course I wanted to fight Anderson but I think he favors the guys he can beat easier or he believes he can beat easier.”

“Derek Brunson’s stand up is horrible, I’m sorry,” Mousasi said. “The guy is a good fighter but his stand up is just terrible. He’s an amateur fighter stand up wise. It was just a bar fight in his last fight.”

Mousasi says he is willing to take on anyone, “from No. 1 to No. 15”, and is highly assured about his chances.

“I will win. It’s as simple as that. I’m going to win. I’m very confident. They can look at my past losses and get confident off that but I’m in a good place right now and nobody is going to beat me.”
