Invicta FC 21: Anderson vs. Tweet results and live discussion
Bloody Elbow 2.0 | Anton Tabuena

Are you in need of an MMA fix while you wait for the rare Sunday night UFC event? Invicta FC has you covered. Their first event of 2017 originates from the Scottish Rite Temple in Kansas City, and there is a title fight on the line in the main event. The heavy-handed Megan Anderson will take on Charmaine Tweet for the interim featherweight belt, as current Invicta champion Cris Cyborg’s future remains uncertain with her failed USADA test.

The plan was for eight fights on this card, but there was a late cancellation, as Invicta’s press release noted after yesterday’s weigh-ins:

“A 120 pound catchweight bout between Jodie Esquibel and Kali Robbins was canceled after Esquibel weighed in at 118.8 pounds and Robbins missed weight at 126.4 pounds. Esquibel will receive her show money.”

You can catch all of the action on UFC Fight Pass tonight at 8 PM ET/5 PM PT. Even better, this is a free preview weekend, so you do not need a Fight Pass account to access the fights. In the meantime, check out Victor Rodriguez’s event preview, as well as Victor, Zane Simon, and D.E.O on the MMA Vivisection.

Here’s the full fight card:

Interim Featherweight Title: Megan Anderson def. Charmaine Tweet via TKO (strikes) at 2:05 of round 2
