WHOA TV sat down with Vaughan Lee ahead of Cage Warriors 80. Lee (14-12-1), a veteran of the UFC who fought with a mix bag of results over eight fights, is now signed to one of Europe’s premiere mixed martial arts promotions, Cage Warriors.
Ahead of his debut, which takes place on 18th February at the Indigo 02, London, Lee talks candidly about his time in the UFC and ultimately getting released.
“My whole world turned upside down. For a fighter, the UFC is everything. I went into a deep depression, real, real bad.”
It’s clear that Lee is keen to get back to winning ways and the reason for signing with Cage Warriors was an easy choice to make on being cut from the UFC.
“Cage Warriors is the biggest stepping stone to the UFC”
