Last December 18, former UFC heavyweight Cody East was arrested on domestic violence charges. Specifically, he was slapped with charges of aggravated battery against a household member, aggravated assault against a household member, and false imprisonment, but has since been released on a $30,000 bond.

On Tuesday, MMAFighting.com was able to obtain a copy of the incident’s police report, where East’s girlfriend bared details of what happened. According to what she had told to the Bernalillo County, N.M. Sheriff deputies, East broke in through the window, after she locked him out for the fear of her safety.

The former UFC fighter then cornered her into the bathroom where he began to kick her multiple times on both legs, kneed her in the head, and slapped her in the chin. East then kicked a hole into the wall after supposedly attempting to kick the alleged victim, but missed.

The unidentified complainant also claimed that East grabbed her by the hair then pulled her toward the front door, followed by a threat that he was going to kill her son if she refused to agree to leave with him.

Police officers also interviewed the victim’s son, who claimed that he was in his room when he heard East’s threat on his life. He then ran to the back of the bedroom and hid in the closet until the police arrived.

From his end, East told police officers that at the time, he and his girlfriend were just going out for coffee, and “did not know” why she was not wearing pants, socks or shoes. While he did admit that they were having an argument, he claimed that he broke back into his own home, after the alleged victim locked him out.

According to Bernalillo County District Attorney spokesperson Philip Sisneros, the said case is “open and currently under review”, and that a decision will be released soon, “in terms of proceeding with prosecution.

East, a “Lookin’ For a Fight” signee, already had a criminal record prior to his UFC stint, in which the company had drawn major flak for.
