Cody East had another run-in with the law Sunday morning.

The former UFC heavyweight fighter was arrested at an Albuquerque, N.M., home at 3:51 a.m. local time on charges of aggravated battery against a household member, aggravated assault against a household member, and false imprisonment. KRQE News 13 first reported the news of East’s arrest.

East was booked into Metropolitan Detention Center in Bernalillo County, N.M., at 10:25 a.m. local time on a $30,000 cash or surety bond, according to arrest records. As of 11 p.m., he is still behind bars.

This isn’t the first time East has found himself in trouble with the law. In 2008, he pleaded no contest to child abuse and battery charges and was sentenced to three years in prison. East was arrested for sexual assault three years earlier.

East was signed to the UFC earlier this year after an appearance on “Dana White: Lookin’ For A Fight.” The UFC had an independent investigation into the 28-year-old’s past conducted prior to signing him and said it was “comfortable” adding the former Legacy FC fighter to its roster. He had two bouts inside the Octagon in 2016, lost both via knockout, and was subsequently released from the organization in October.
