Despite talks about a fight already being shut down months ago, there has been no love lost between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor. The trading of verbal shots between the two men continue through their respective interviews.
McGregor, for his part, has not backed down from drumming up a possible fight. And after he was issued a boxing license early this month, “The Notorious” has incessantly claimed that Mayweather should be going after him because he “has all the numbers.”
Mayweather has been retired since September 2014, and had repeatedly declared his plans to stay retired. He left the sport with a win-loss slate of 49-0, equaling the record set by Rocky Marciano.
Many believe that there is a likelihood for Mayweather to return one last time to surpass Marciano’s record, with McGregor being tagged as one of the possibilities for fight number 50. In a recent Instagram live feed (via TMZ), the retired undefeated boxer reiterated that his unblemished record will remain intact, while sending a personal message to McGregor, as well.
“I ain’t never taking no L,” Mayweather said. “I’m f–king McGregor up, too. Where’s punk ass McGregor? I’mma slap the sh-t out of McGregor when I see him.”
