The UFC 205 official weigh-ins are wrapped up, and wow was it eventful. Kelvin Gastelum didn’t even weigh-in because he was overweight, so his fight with Donald Cerrone has been cancelled. Thiago Alves was also heavy for his planned lightweight debut vs. Jim Miller, but that fight will go on as scheduled.
For some good news, everyone else made weight, including all of the fighters in tomorrow’s title bouts at New York City’s Madison Square Garden. Headliner Conor McGregor came in at 154.4 for his UFC lightweight debut, while reigning champion Eddie Alvarez clocked in at 154.6.
You can watch video of the official weigh-ins (via Submission Radio) at the top of the page. We’ll have a separate post to watch the ceremonial weigh-ins at 6 PM ET/3 PM PT, along with the traditional staredowns.
Other notes on this card: Donald Cerrone weighed in at 170.4 for his now-cancelled fight. Jacare Souza weighed in at 189 pounds as a backup opponent for the Chris Weidman vs. Yoel Romero fight, and received show money, albeit reportedly not his full show purse. Tim Kennedy weighed in at 185.6 pounds to receive his full show money for his fight vs. Rashad Evans, which has since been moved to UFC 206.
