Confident Felipe Arantes ‘doesn’t know much’ about Erik Perez ahead of Mexico bout

Felipe Arantes is not at all worried about what his opponent, Erik Perez, might bring to the table as he makes the final preparations for their bout in Mexico City on November 5th. As he told Combate, he honestly doesn’t know much about what Perez brings to the table.

“Actually, I don’t know much about him. I usually don’t worry about my opponents like that. That can freeze you during the fight, you get affected by it. I’m training like usual. If I need to take him down, I will. If he wants to strike, I’ll use my muay thai. It’s simple. I have a lot more to offer now that I’m fighting people my size. I’m at the right weight class.”

Arantes first started in the UFC as a featherweight, in 2012, where he ended up with a 3-3-1 record before dropping to bantmaweight in 2015. So far, he has scored two submission wins, both by armbar.

In this third bantamweight outing, Felipe Arantes will take on Erik “El Goyito” Perez at the Ultimate Fighter Latin America 3 Finale. Perez enters the bout on a two-fight win streak, having beaten Taylor Lapilus and Francisco Rivera.win streak, he The card will be headlined by lightweight contenders Rafael dos Anjos and Tony Ferguson.
