Michael Bisping: I will finish Hendo, then buy him a beer afterwards

Back in 2009, there was tremendous animosity between Michael Bisping and Dan Henderson, as opposing coaches on the ninth season of The Ultimate Fighter. It all ended at UFC 100, when Henderson scored a second round knockout.

Hendo left a lasting image for the MMA public that night – after landing his patented H-Bomb, he followed it up with an additional jumping right hand on an already knocked out Bisping. Seven years later, the two men will meet again at UFC 204 this weekend in Manchester, with “The Count” defending his middleweight belt for the first time.

His defeat at UFC 100 is one that Bisping has been aching to avenge. Now that he has the chance, he says he promises do so but in a more cordial manner, compared to how the first fight had ended.

“One million percent, I am going to finish him in this fight. I am not going to give him another dig, I am going to finish him,” Bisping said via BT Sport. “I will stop him, and I will help him up off the canvas, and I will show him that it was a classless move and this is how gentlemen do it.”

“I’m going to finish him, pick him up off the floor and then I will buy him a beer afterwards.”
