Uriah Hall and Derek Brunson had the potential to be an absolute barn burner, or a frustrating fight of hesitancy. Both middleweights were looking to climb up the rankings of a division in the midst of a wild title shuffle.
Hall came out the aggressor, immediately clinching with Brunson. While clinched against the fence, Brunson landed a couple of hard knees to the body of Hall. After breaking from the fence, Brunson charged at Hall, landing a clean left hook that sent Hall to the mat.
Brunson followed up with a swarm of punches, forcing Herb Dean to step in. Hall pops right up after the stoppage, but the way he fell did look particularly brutal. Either way, it was a huge knockout win for Brunson, handing Hall his first knockout loss in the UFC.
