With the UFC’s first ever show at Madison Square Garden only two months away, the card is slowly starting to fill up. According to Brazil’s Combate, former UFC lightweight champion and perennial featherweight contender Frankie Edgar will fight Jeremy Stephens on the November 12th pay-per-view event. UFC officials haven’t announced the matchup themselves.

Edgar (20-5-1) lost by unanimous decision to Jose Aldo for the interim featherweight title at UFC 200. His only losses at 145 lbs have both been five-round title fights to Aldo. Before that, Edgar had won 5 straight, including a stunning 1st round KO of Chad Mendes, as well as a last-second submission over Cub Swanson.

Stephens (25-12) rebounded from a December loss vs. Max Holloway by pulling off the upset win over former bantamweight champion Renan Barao. That unanimous decision win earned Stephens and Barao FOTN honors. In his last 5 fights, Stephens is just 2-3, but otherwise is still the #7 ranked featherweight contender.

UFC 205 does not yet have a main event, but fights currently lined up include Rashad Evans vs. Tim Kennedy, Thiago Alves vs. Al Iaquinta, and Donald Cerrone vs. Kelvin Gastelum.
