Former WSOF champ signs with UFC, fights Evan Dunham at UFC Fight Night 94

Rick Glenn has been signed by the UFC and will make his promotional debut against longtime veteran Evan Dunham on short notice at UFC Fight Night 94 next weekend, UFC officials announced Friday.

Glenn, a former WSOF featherweight champion, is stepping up for the injured Abel Trujillo, who pulled out of his bout against Dunham earlier this week. Glenn is moving up to 155 pounds for this bout.

Glenn (18-3-1) has won three in a row since losing the WSOF belt to Lance Palmer at the end of 2014. He stopped Adam Ward at WSOF 24 and was afterwards granted his release from the promotion. In his last outing, he bested Ramiro Hernandez by split decision at Victory FC 51 in June.

Dunham (17-6) is currently riding a three-fight winning streak, with victories over Joe Lauzon, Ross Pearson and Rodrigo Damm. The 34-year-old, who’s currently ranked No. 15 in the official UFC rankings, hasn’t lost since a 2014 finish to Edson Barboza.

UFC Fight Night 94 takes place live from the State Farm Arena in Hidalgo, Texas on Sept. 17. In the main event, UFC lightweight contenders Dustin Poirier and Michael Johnson square off.
