UFC 202 is over and done with, and Conor McGregor was finally able to even his score with Nate Diaz via a majority decision win. Many are now putting into question whether or not he still intends to defend his world featherweight title.

Former long-time 145-pound champion José Aldo currently holds the interim title, and is the next in line to face McGregor. But for “The Notorious”, it is not an option he is currently attracted to.

“It’s hard for me to get excited about that (Aldo fight), especially after his last performance,” McGregor said during his UFC 202 post-fight media scrum. “It was a decision, he didn’t go out and get it like I wanted him to get it.”

“So I don’t know. Look, we’ll see. I’m the 145-pound champion, the interim 145-pound champion is a man I KO’d in 13 seconds. I’ve got to figure out what’s next, but right now, I don’t know what’s next. There are many things in the pipeline, so sit tight.”

McGregor was not specific about his plans, but hinted that some of them may not even be in the UFC. And whatever his next move may be, UFC president Dana White says the decision will be all up to him.

More interestingly, White says McGregor will not be stripped of his featherweight title.

“He’s not going to get stripped,” White told NBC Sports Radio (via FOX Sports). “He’s going to make a decision. He knows the Nate Diaz fight isn’t the fight to make right now.”

“He has to either defend his title or give it up and decide what he wants to do next. We’ll get that figured out with him.”
