Although the weigh-ins have successfully concluded, this weekend’s UFC on FOX 21 card has suddenly become a bout short. The UFC has announced that a middleweight bout between has been removed from the line up after USADA has flagged Adam Hunter for an out-of-competition drug test from August 11.

“Because Hunter was scheduled to compete against Ryan Janes this coming Saturday, August 27 in Vancouver, British Columbia, there is insufficient time for a full review before the scheduled bout and therefore the fight has been removed from the fight card,” the UFC statement read.

Janes, who already weighed in at 185 lbs, was obviously upset about not being able to make his UFC debut.

“F—k that cheat,” Janes told BloodyElbow.com’s Nick Baldwin immediately after learning about the news. “He got out easy. And I wish I was surprised.”

Janes is 8-1 in his MMA career that started 8 years ago. The 35-year-old BJJ black belt will likely still earn his contracted salary, but he will have to wait a little longer before he actually gets to step into the big show.

UPDATE: Janes confirms that he will only be getting his ‘show’ money for the event.

“I am not sure what is next. I will be booked for something soon, I am sure,” he said. “I am only getting my show money.”
