We are halfway through round 2 of the latest BE’s Baddest, and after a tremendous, upset-filled opening round, this one has been almost nothing but blowouts. Ever since Cain Velasquez upset Ben Askren, the battles have not been close, and the latest continued that trend, with Frankie Edgar steamrolling Rashad Evans, 42-8. Sorry Suga, but at least you’ll always be able to say you beat a #1 seed.
Today, let’s see if the trend continues. Here, it’s #2 Matt Hughes in action, fresh off a win over Chad Mendes. He takes on #3 Jake Shields, who toppled Josh Barnett last time out. Winner moves on to face Edgar. Can Shields pull off the upset, or even make it competitive? Your call.
