BE’s Baddest Greatest MMA Wrestler: #4 Mark Coleman vs. #5 Tito Ortiz
Bloody Elbow 2.0 | Anton Tabuena

We’ve seen a series of close fights and upsets in the BE Baddest, but our last fight broke that trend. In the battle of big hair, #1 seed Ben Askren had little trouble with #8 seed Josh Koscheck, taking the TUF OG out 34-8. Askren moves on to round 2, where he will face Cain Velasquez in a very interesting fight.

Today, perhaps the match-up I have been most looking forward to in the first round, as #4 Mark Coleman takes on #5 Tito Ortiz. These are both pioneers of the sport – two world champions whose names were synonymous with dominating ground and pound in the early days of the UFC. These two were scheduled to fight at UFC 106, but it never happened, which is a shame – this feels like a fight we really should have seen. No worries though as we get to see it now, and I really don’t know how it’s going to go.
