The main card of UFC on Fox 20 has provided some great action so far. One knockout, one submission, and one nasty display of leg kicks. Here’s how it all went down.
Edson Barboza defeated Gilbert Melendez by unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28)
Barboza’s leg kicks are brutal. He lit up Melendez’s left leg right from the very start, which slowed Melendez down and didn’t allow him to implement his wrestling. Melendez did wobble him in the first and the second, but Barboza was completely overwhelming in the second and third rounds and picked up one of the biggest wins of his career.
Witness some of Barboza’s handiwork:

Francis Ngannou defeated Bojan Mihajlovic by TKO (strikes), 1:34 of round one
This wasn’t really much of a fight. Mihajlovic threw a few kicks and one punch. Ngannou caught him with a counter and another shot, Mihajlovic went to the floor, and Ngannou laid the leather on him until Herb Dean stopped it. It did appear that Mihajlovic was covering up, and popped up pretty quickly after the stoppage, but he was getting bombed on so it’s tough for Herb Dean not to step in there. Regardless, another big win for Ngannou.

Felice Herrig defeated Kailin Curran by submission (rear naked choke), 1:59 of round one
Curran didn’t have much time to get anything started. After some tepid striking to begin the fight, Herrig got to Curran’s back in a scramble and looked for the choke. It took a little while to get her arm underneath Curran’s chin, and Curran fought it off for a long time, but she was finally forced to tap at the 1:59 mark of round one. The win was Herrig’s first in over 18 months. Here’s a look at the finish.
