It doesn’t get any closer than this BE Baddest fans. The battle between #2 seed Demetrious Johnson and #7 Dominick Cruz was a true nail-bitter, with Mighty Mouse pulling ahead early and Cruz making a late run. In the end, it came down to one vote – just one. And that one vote went in favor of Johnson, who just squeaks by, 43-42. Like I said, as close as it gets.
Today, let’s find out who Johnson will face in round 2 with a very interesting match-up. This time, it’s #3 seed Sean Sherk against #6 seed Mark Kerr – the Muscle Shark vs. the Smashing Machine. Interesting battle here between two men who don’t get much love or attention in the modern day UFC – we’ll see how that plays out in the BE Baddest tournament now.
