Following a 13-second KO loss to Conor McGregor, Jose Aldo is once again a UFC champion.

The Brazilian featherweight defeated Frankie Edgar by unanimous decision to clinch the interim 145-pound title.

Check out the highlights above:

R4: Nothing of note scores until an Edgar body kick 90 seconds in. More equal exchanges with neither fighter differentiating himself. Short left hook lands for Edgar. Aldo buckles Edgar’s legs with a quick one-two, then follows with another right upstairs. They trade right hands.

Now Edgar’s other eye is bleeding. They take turns landing right hands. A quick jab snaps Edgar’s head back. Edgar steps in with a left high kick and Aldo sidesteps it, then scores with a counter right. 10-9 Aldo.

R5: Aldo opens with an outside low kick. Back-step jab lands for Aldo, then a sharp left. Edgar answers with a low kick. Edgar blocks a rugged left kick but the impact is quite substantial. Counter left lands for Edgar but Aldo responds with a clean right.

More methodical jousting on the feet with, in what seems like the overall theme of the fight, Aldo landing a harder and more often, though not by a wide margin. Edgar whiffs on a spinning kick. Aldo is willing to backpedal and let the clock run out. 10-9 Aldo. I have it 50-45 Aldo.
