Michael Bisping vs. Dan Henderson II could soon become a reality. Although the 45-year-old Henderson announced what seemed to be a retirement after knocking out Hector Lombard at UFC 199, many fans want to see Hendo rematch Bisping for the middleweight belt.

‘The Count’, who stunned the world by KO’ing Luke Rockhold to become the first British champion in UFC history at The Forum in Inglewood, Calif, has called Henderson out since the win and further entertained the possibility of a rematch in a recent interview with FOX Sports. This time, Bisping pulled back no punches and really went to town on the MMA veteran.

“Dan Henderson is a guy that actually does interest me,” Bisping told the Jay and Dan on Fox Sports Live, per Jed Meshew of MMA Fighting. “He obviously has a great knockout victory over me back in the day and he’s gonna retire soon so I want to get revenge for that loss before he retires. He was on testosterone replacement therapy in that fight. I didn’t even know that existed. Dan, you’re a cheat. Let’s do it anytime you want, you old [undiscernible expletive].

“He knocked out the posing dwarf, Hector Lombard. So if you want to come and try it – hey buddy, lightning doesn’t strike twice so if you’re interested sign on the dotted line you old piece of shit.”

Henderson, who was a known advocate of testosterone replacement therapy, KO’d Bisping with a devastating right hand at UFC 100 in a bout that was supposed to solidify a No. 1 contender. However, due to negotiation problems with the UFC, Henderson left the promotion for Strikeforce and went on to win the light heavyweight championship.

Henderson is currently ranked as the #13 middleweight in the world, but many feel the multi-promotion and multi-division champion should bypass the higher ranked contenders due to his promised title shot in the past and his history with Bisping.

Bisping, it seems, is happy to oblige but is likely to face top-ranked contender Ronaldo ‘Jacare’ Souza in his first title defense later this year.
