The main event of UFC Fight Night 88 featured two undefeated Bantamweight prospects. One fighter would leave with their perfect record intact while the other would taste defeat in the cage for the first time.
Garbrandt started off the round showing that he had the speed and accuracy advantage while also pushing the pace. Garbrandt landed several crisp punches that landed flush on Almeida. Unfortunately for Almeida, he was never able to muster a whole lot of offense before Garbrandt put the finishing touches on the fight. Garbrandt hit Almeida with a huge right hand as Almeida was backing up. Almeida fell to the mat and the ref stopped the fight.
