Canelo vs Khan live fight results: Rounds 1-3 results and recap
Bloody Elbow 2.0 | Anton Tabuena

Tonight is Canelo Alvarez vs. Amir Khan in a Middleweight world title fight. It’s power vs. speed as the smaller but faster Khan moves up in weight to challenge the heavy hitting champion Canelo. The Middleweight title, and just maybe a showdown with Gennady Golovkin await the winner. Get round by round coverage here at Bloody Elbow all night.

Round 1: Very good first round for Khan, who uses his movement and hand speed to land some shots on Canelo, including a stiff right in the early moments. Canelo misses wildly at first, but then starts to find Khan a bit more, landing 1 or 2 good shots. To Khan’s great credit, they don’t seem to phase him. 10-9 Khan

Round 2: Canelo switches things up a bit this round, playing more of the aggressive puncher as opposed to the counter-puncher we saw in round 1. The results however are mostly the same. Khan has to move more with Canelo chasing him down, but Khan succeeds there, avoiding most shots and again using his hand speed to get his own combos in. 10-9 Khan

Round 3: Canelo is very focused on the left hook here, throwing his all behind that punch consistently. He lands it early, but it doesn’t hurt Khan, and from then on, Khan avoids it. It’s a close round, with Khan’s defense keeping him safe and Canelo also avoiding most shots until the end when Khan lands a nice combo. Doesn’t seem to really hurt Canelo, but it’s enough for the round. 10-9 Khan

30-27 Khan
