If you’ve ever tried to land an inside leg kick and instead felt the pain of your opponent’s shin when they checked the kick, then this one’s for you.
K-1 legend Sam Greco returns in this week’s edition of Submission Radio’s “Technique of the Week” to demonstrate how to set your opponent up and land inside leg kicks, even if they have a very tight guard. Watch the video above to see how Greco uses footwork to lure his opponent in and catch him off guard with a big shot to the leg.
Greco’s legendary active career spanned almost two decades and saw him compete in Karate, Kickboxing and MMA. During his time in K-1 he faced some of the sport’s biggest names, including Ernesto Hoost, Jerome Le Banner, Ray Sefo, Mirko Cro Cop and compiled a (19-9-2) record. Greco’s retirement came in 2005 after he knocked out Shungo Oyama in the first round, under MMA rules.
Submission Radio posts technique videos every Wednesday, demonstrating a variety of moves from BJJ, MMA, boxing, kickboxing, wrestling, Muay Thai, Sambo, and much more.
