Top Rank Boxing CEO Bob Arum has said a lot of controversial things over the years – after all, he is a promoter. He’s never taken too kindly to the UFC and their fans though, and in an interview with Fight Hub recently, he took another shot at MMA proponents by saying they’re mostly…Donald Trump supporters? Check it out (transcribed by Bad Left Hook):
“Well the UFC, they’ve done a great job promoting but one thing I’ve said, and I’ll say again, I’ll say it straight out – the fans of the UFC are Donald Trump supporters. The fans of boxing support Hillary [Clinton], Bernie [Sanders], and maybe John Kasich, so there’s a difference.

“The preponderance of UFC fans are Trump supporters – white males who are desperately afraid that this country in 20 years will be a non-white majority country. And that’s why they’re reacting, and that’s why they’re supporting an imbecile like Trump. And maybe that’s why they like UFC.”
As you probably know, outspoken billionaire Trump is running for president of the United States for the Republican Party, and has caused much controversy with his stances on things like illegal immigration, for instance. Arum saying that boxing fans prefer Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders is basically him painting proponents of the sweet science as Democratic Party fans.
It’s a typical Bob Arum statement. That’s about the best way to describe it.
