Polaris 3 was one of the most memorable nights in the history of grappling. In the main event of the show, American grappling sensation Garry Tonon took on UFC veteran Rousimar Palhares. While Palhares and Tonon ended up going the distance, the fight had a number of exciting moments, namely numerous heel hook battles and a vast array of slams all of which were expertly captured in the photo gallery above.
The Polaris 3 card was packed with some of the biggest stars in the world of grappling, including ex-Strikeforce champion Jake Shields, Gianni Grippo and leglock specialist Eddie Cummings, who faced UFC fighter Augusto “Tanquinho” Mendes. This show filled out the venue in Poole, England and provided a number of exciting matches.
