A familiar face in the MMA world popped up at this weekend’s event, and the world wants to know what he was doing there.
Former UFC welterweight champion, Georges St. Pierre, was spotted watching UFC 196 in Las Vegas on Saturday and making the rounds with reporters. The big question on everyones mind was if he was there to announce a new deal with the UFC, and in particular if he was going to be fighting Conor McGregor in the future, had he been successful in this weight class. Unfortunately, Nate Diaz upset those plans when he choked out Conor, leading many to believe that GSP might not have been too truthful in interviews with reporters who asked about his reasons for showing up.
Dana White also denied any rumors that GSP was there to fight, but did say that they had talked about a possible comeback with no real progress either way. Do you think GSP was going to announce a super fight with Conor McGregor at UFC 200, or was he legitimately just there to see this historic fight card?
