Rafael dos Anjos still needs some more time to heal the broken foot that forced him out of his superfight against Conor McGregor at UFC 196, which was scheduled to go down on Saturday, March 5.
As the lightweight champion shared on his Instagram, the foot still looks very swollen and will take at least six more weeks before Dos Anjos can resume his training.
“Changing my cast today. Healing up well. I’ll be back in training in 6 weeks.” Said Dos Anjos.
Before the injury, Rafael Dos Anjos made his first title defense against Donald Cerrone at UFC on Fox 17, on December 19. He won the fight by first round TKO only 66 seconds into the first round.
