Programming note here for interested combat sports fans: starting at midnight on New Year’s Day, CBS Sports Network will be airing a 6 hour Glory marathon. Here are the details:
The marathon kicks off at 12:00 a.m. ET / 9:00 p.m. PT on the night of January 1 on CBS Sports Network. Up first is the Glory Superfight Series Amsterdam that preceded Glory 26. After that, at 2:00 a.m., it’s the Glory Superfight Series Milan from Glory 25. Then at 4:00 a.m. it’s a replay of the Amsterdam series.
Glory ended the year strong with a pair of tremendous shows, and both of these Superfight Series events had some great highlights, with the Milan event in particular standing out. If you missed either one, it’s absolutely worth either keeping the night going with some quality kickboxing action, or setting your DVR so that you can enjoy a relaxing Saturday with Glory. Full fight cards for both events are below.
In other Glory news, in a holiday address to fans, Glory CEO Jon Franklin stated that the date and venue for Glory 27 “will be announced imminently.” Already announced by Glory for 2016 are two big title fights: Gokhan Saki vs. Saulo Cavalari and Artem Levin vs. Simon Marcus. While nothing is official yet, there is a banner on Glory’s website that states: “Glory 27 February, Glory 28 March.” Look for all the details on Glory 27 and what is next for Glory right here at Bloody Elbow.
