Former UFC middleweight champion, Anderson Silva, is happy to be back in the Octagon as he prepares for his clash against veteran Michael Bisping. A fight long in the making, Silva explained to Combate he feels the opportunity to fight “The Count” will be great for him to get back into title contention.

“I would love it if the fight were to happen in Brazil, but it will be a pleasure to come back and fight Michael Bisping in London, at the O2 Arena.

“It has been a long time since I last fought in London and I’m really excited to come back. I believe it will be a huge test so I can go after a title shot.”

In fact, it will be the first time Anderson Silva will fight in London for the UFC, as the last time he fought there was in 2006, when he defended his Cage Rage title against Tony Fryklund.

Silva will take on Michael Bisping at UFC Fight Night 83, on February 27.
