Let me be perfectly clear in saying that Tyson Fury’s (25-0, 18 KOs) upset win over Wladimir Klitschko (116-111, 116-111, 115-112) was awful to watch. Klitschko (64-4, 53 KOs) averaged less than 5 punches landed (!) per round and Fury only averaged a shade over 7. It is a fight that is never to be revisited again for anything other than film study and just the general witnessing of the end of Klitschko’s 10 year run as the world’s #1 heavyweight.
But let’s look past that and focus on what Fury did after he captured the WBA, IBF, and WBO belts from his Ukrainian foe. Fury guaranteed a song if he beat Klitschko in front of a packed house in Dusseldorf, Germany, and sure enough he delivered. At the 2:25 mark of this HBO video, here’s Fury putting on his best singing voice for his version of Aerosmith’s “Don’t Wanna Miss A Thing”.

The festivities began with a performance from Rod Stewart in the pre-fight buildup and ended with Tyson Fury singing an Aerosmith song. What a time to be alive.
