One of the biggest boxing fights of the year will go down on November 21st when four-division champion Miguel Cotto takes on former light middleweight champ Saul Alvarez. Both men are top fighters in the sport, and will reignite the famous boxing rivalry between Puerto Rico and Mexico. Other than the “Fight of the Century” bout between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather in May, this will likely be the biggest-selling boxing event of 2015.
Check out the second episode of the 24/7 series leading up to the bout above.
Cotto (44-4, 33 KO) is coming off a 4th-round TKO win over Daniel Geale in June, while Canelo (45-1-1, 32 KO) picked up a knockout win over James Kirkland in a May stadium show in Houston in his last outing.
The bout will be for Cotto’s middleweight titles, sort of. Cotto was stripped of the WBC title last week, but Canelo can still win it.. It will take place in the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, and will air live on pay-per-view.
