Saturday, October 14, 2015, marked a historic upset of the ages. UFC superstar Ronda Rousey suffered the first loss of her professional career and did so against an opponent marked a 12/1 underdog against her in Holly Holm.
Holm — aptly nicknamed the Preacher’s Daughter — stunned the world when she knocked Rousey unconscious with a head kick heard around the world. The finish was so violent, that it was scarcely believable that someone other than Rousey had completed it.
In the end, a new champion was crowned.
