Somewhere, Dana White is probably pulling his hair out, or at least wishing he had hair to pull out. That’s the only reaction I can imagine from UFC brass to watching one of their biggest stars take on a man twice his size in a bare-knuckle sparring session in the gym. It’s great publicity and it looks really cool, but it smacks of recklessness in a sport plagued by injury delays.

Did I mention that it looks really cool? Because it definitely still does, so you should check out the video above.

In it, Conor McGregor spars playfully (but not without trading some blows) with Hafthór Júlíus Björnsson, better known as Gregor Clegane or “The Mountain that Rides” in the popular HBO fantasy-epic Game of Thrones. Bjornsson stands at an imposing 6’9″ 400lbs, a fair bit bigger than any heavyweight in the UFC.

The video appears to be a teaser for a Conor McGregor themed website called TheMacLife.com. Hopefully for fans it will mean more videos of Conor McGregor doing weird dangerous things that will give his promoters fits.
