Vitor Belfort is just one week away from fighting Dan Henderson for the third time in his career, with the scores level at 1-1. As focused as ever and eager to bounce back from his first round TKO loss in his title fight against Chris Weidman, Belfort guarantees he is ready to fight for five rounds, but believes he could finish the fight standing up or on the ground.
“I’m going ready for five rounds or a knockout or a submission, anything can happen,” He told MMA Premium. “My training camp was intense and I’m ready to fight on November 7, I’ll give my best.”
Meanwhile, “The Phenom” still hears old opponents such as Michael Bisping and Luke Rockhold talking about how his Testosterone Replacement Therapy helped him put together the vicious win streak of head kick KO’s he got back in 2013. In Belfort’s opinion, those are all excuses, though.
“Honestly, I think everybody always used TRT as an excuse. In fact, they needed a good excuse to lose to a guy much older than them.”
Seven years younger than Henderson, Belfort won’t have to hear that when he takes on Dan Henderson at UFC Fight Night 77 on November 7 in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
