The timing couldn’t be any better. The UFC have released a video clip of Conor McGregor’s feud with Team Alpha Male on the latest episode of The Ultimate Fighter.
The tussle broke out after McGregor had antagonized Urijah Faber over T.J. Dillashaw. The interim featherweight champion called T.J. a “snake in the grass,” inciting that he would backstab his teammate if given the opportunity.
“Where’s the little snake?,” McGregor said of T.J. Dillashaw. “Where’s the little weasel? Has he got Duane With him? Him and Duane to come over and take over the show. They’ll take over your gym; they’ll take over the show too, I’m sure. That’s what people do to you, they just run you over.”
After a further series of insults by “The Notorious,” McGregor collided with Urijah Faber’s teammates in a minor scuffle.
The Irishman’s comments were made before Dillashaw decided to leave Urijah Faber’s Team Alpha Male (TAM) for Elevation Fight Team. The bantamweight champion will now train under the tutelage of Duane Ludwig full-time in Colorado.
Since the split, Faber and his team have traded verbal barbs with Dillashaw. T.J. claimed that he was banned from visiting the California-based gym. “The California Kid” and Cody Garbrandt believe his former teammate is playing the victim. TAM BJJ coach Fabio Prado also thinks that the UFC have a fantastic opportunity to hype up a potential fight between Faber and Dillashaw.
