Daley sent a heated message to Bloody Elbow last week, calling Holzken “a b–tch” and accusing the Dutch champion of trying to avoid him. He has also been in contact with GLORY directly to inform the organization that he is willing and able to fight Holzken in Amsterdam if the fight can be made.

GLORY CEO Jon Franklin commented on the situation by way of text message today. “It would certainly be a big fight and one the fans would enjoy. There has been some heat between Holzken and Daley and it’s a fight we would be interested in seeing.”

Daley made his debut under GLORY rules at the recent ‘Dynamite’ show staged by Bellator MMA in conjunction with GLORY. However, Daley is under contract to Bellator and his participation in the event was as a Bellator-contracted fighter.

He would need permission from Bellator MMA to fight on a GLORY event. Daley says that he has messaged Bellator MMA promoter Scott Coker to ask for permission to take a fight with Holzken if GLORY offer it.

Daley is one of the bigger names on the Bellator MMA roster and the organization is looking forward to re-matching him with Josh Koscheck around mid-2016. Whether it would be afraid of letting Daley fight Holzken for fear of him losing is debatable, but Coker certainly seemed open to the idea in pre-Dynamite comments.

“GLORY has been a great partner for this event, bringing several world-class, championship kickboxing matches to the table,” he said last month.

“Daley and Gonzalez are two incredible strikers in our welterweight division, and we’re looking forward to seeing them lay it on the line with GLORY gloves on their hands. It would be great to see the winner of this fight take on GLORY’s welterweight champ Nieky Holzken in the future.”

With Daley having emerged as the winner against Gonzalez, his challenge to Holzken is right in line with Coker’s pre-fight sentiments. Daley wants the fight badly. He posted the following image on his Facebook today, along with a plea to both GLORY and Scott Coker to “make it happen…underdog MMA fighter becomes GLORY kickboxing champion?”

Speaking to UK website Whoa TV, Daley added, “He’s pound for pound the best kickboxer on the planet. I like a challenge and love to be the underdog… I hope Bellator and GLORY make the fight. I want the chance to fight the best and be GLORY champion. I have a big UK following who are already messaging me about tickets and planning travel.”
