Glory recently announced the details on Glory 25, and now, there are some big fight announcements coming in for that show. Glory 25 Milan is live from Italy on November 6.

The big name on the show is former pound for pound king Giorgio Petrosyan. For years, Petrosyan stood on the top of the mountain in all of kickboxing, but his 2013 Glory loss to Andy Ristie knocked him from that throne. He sat out all of 2014 and is 3-0 this year, all outside of Glory. This is his return to the big Glory stage, and it could not be more welcome.

Facing Petrosyan will be fast rising Canadian fighter Josh Jauncey. Jauncey, who trains with the legendary Andy Souwer, is 4-1 in Glory and has looked very impressive in his fights. He comes in off a tough loss to Sittichai at Glory 22. This is a huge opportunity for the young fighter who many (including me) have touted as a future world champion. While no belt is on the line, this is a huge world title caliber fight for him.

Also announced for the show via matchmaker Cor Hemmers on Facebook is a Lightweight world title fight, as champion Robin van Roosmalen looks to make his 2nd defense when he takes on Thailand’s Sittichai Sitsongpeenong. Van Roosmalen won the belt from Davit Kiria a year ago, and has since defended it against Andy Ristie, while Sittichai made a big debut for Glory earlier this year, winning the Lightweight tournament at Glory 22. He has won a one night 8 man tournament since then, and also holds wins over Andy Souwer and Murthel Groenhart among others.

This is a terrific world title fight and hopefully, we’ll see the winners of these two fights meet in the next world title fight, as really, any combination of these four sounds great.

Though not yet officially announced, the Glory website also lists Danyo Ilunga vs. Artem Vakhitov as part of the Superfight Series – great fight there if that does take place. Also official for the show is a Welterweight tournament – no names yet announced.

Glory 25 is live from Milan, Italy on November 6. Before that, check out Glory 24 Denver on October 9, featuring Joe Schilling vs. Jason Wilnis and a stacked Heavyweight tournament.
