YouTuber Richie Branson has brought us the fight people keep talking about in spite of ourselves: undefeated boxer Floyd Mayweather vs. undefeated MMA fighter Ronda Rousey. UFC president Dana White has long claimed that Rousey would easily submit Mayweather in a UFC-rules bout. For her part, Ronda Rousey got a sharp zinger in at the ESPYs at Mayweather’s expense, saying her win as fighter of the year was nice because it was a woman beating Floyd for a change.
Mayweather is a convicted criminal who’s done jail time for assaulting women.
Polygon explains the magic.
“YouTube user and game designer Richie Branson “played around with texture files” in the PC version of the game to create the Mayweather and Rousey characters, then took them through a little highlight reel of each fighter’s style and finally pitted the two against each other. Branson used CPU-controlled characters for the bout to keep things honest.”
