Fedor Emelianenko and Randy Couture were at the Bellator media day to help promote this weekend’s ‘Dynamite’ card. While not scheduled to fight each other (or even signed with the promotion), the two MMA legends still decided to do a face off for the media with Bellator head Scott Coker in between them. Emelianenko and Couture were originally planned to fight each other at Affliction back in 2008, until a contract snag with the UFC prevented the contest.
Fedor has since announced plans to comeback, with his promotion of choice expected to be announced within the next few weeks. The 52-year-old in Couture has since gone on record to say that he would think long and hard about coming out of retirement as well for a chance to face Fedor, although he admits that the Russian signing with the UFC would kill that idea.

Dana White has recently gone on record to say that while he has spoken with Fedor’s camp, he has no idea of what he will eventually decide. Although it could also be part of negotiation tactics, will these Bellator press appearances make the UFC sweat a bit?
