Maybe a little chaos isn’t such a bad thing. After reports surfaced from Nick Diaz’s lawyer that the fighter and his team were “addressing the situation” over the sale of #FreeNickDiaz t-shirts. Chael Sonnen spoke to Bloody Elbow and he wanted to make one thing very clear. “I have a contract with Nick.”

It was a general re-affirming of his initial response to the statement from Diaz’s lawyer, that “Nick and I are partners, we have a deal to make these shirts. These are his shirts.”

The only logical next question then is, in the wake of previous mixed messages, just how are sales going? Apparently they couldn’t be better, even if you were Ronda Rousey:

“These are gonna set records.” Sonnen said of the #FreeNickDiaz t-shirt line. “Support for Nick is Worldwide. Ronda did 56,000 shirts in 2 weeks. Nick’s on pace.”

It certainly doesn’t look like the promotional efforts for the brand on Sonnen’s Twitter feed are slowing down. This time around with a little impromptu poetry:

Who knows? If the brand goes big enough, maybe we’ll be seeing the Diaz brothers grace the silver screen. Maybe even a “butter-up, Photoshopped picture in a magazine” or two.
