The UFC and its drug-testing partner The U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) has been drawn into the ongoing dispute between the USADA and the Nevada Athletic Commission (NAC). Following yesterday’s revelations regarding Floyd Mayweather’s use of a saline IV before his May bout with Manny Pacquiao in a blockbuster report by Thomas Hauser on our parent site SBNation.com, LA Times reporter Lance Pugmire is tweeting from the NAC and has some revelations regarding UFC heavyweight Frank Mir:
Told by Nevada commission members that UFC fighter Frank Mir similarly obtained a TUE from USADA last week that Nevada ruled inadmissible.

“They’re confusing the fighters,” Nevada commission executive director Bob Bennett said of USADA.

Mir had been taking Adderall, I’m told by the commission, he stopped when told to.

Adderall is a stimulant commonly used for the treatment of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Mir previously had a therapeutic use exemption (TUE) for testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) before the NAC banned that practice.
Mir lost a decision to Andrei Arlovski at UFC 191.
