This Saturday night, Floyd Mayweather steps in to the ring for his 49th, and maybe final, professional boxing fight. His opponent will be Andre Berto, a former Welterweight champion hoping to shock the world and pull off the biggest boxing upset in well over a decade. Mayweather vs. Berto will be live on Showtime Boxing PPV this Saturday, September 12, and we’ll have full coverage here at Bloody Elbow.
To get yourself ready for Mayweather vs. Berto, check out the always excellent Showtime All Access series. Here, we have the full video of All Access: Maweather vs. Berto Episode 1. Watch below, or click here if the embed is not working for you.
Interesting episode here in the way it presents Mayweather. Gone is the trash-talking “Money” Mayweather (though he does take some time to do bag work while holding a ridiculous stack of cash), replaced by a strangely subdued and introverted veteran fighter version of Mayweather. If this show is to be believed, this is just a hard working man ready to retire so that he can devote his life to his true passion – his children. It’s an odd version of Mayweather that is a bit tough to reconcile with the man we’ve seen over the years. Still, it’s well worth a look.
Join us at Bloody Elbow Saturday night for live fight night coverage of Mayweather vs. Berto.
