
For the 2nd year in a row, Roy Nelson is headlining a UFC Fight Night card in Japan. His last trip ended in a devastating KO loss to Mark Hunt, and this year he’s facing Josh Barnett at the Saitama Super Arena. Barnett hasn’t fought since Travis Browne KO’d him with elbows at UFC 168. In the co-main event, Gegard Mousasi faces off against Uriah Hall, who has quite bravely stepped up on short notice to replace the injured Roan Carneiro. Also of note is the return of recent flyweight title challenger Kyoji Horiguchi, who takes on a tough opponent in Chico Camus.
With college football airing on FS1, the preliminary card will be broadcast on FS2, which will televise the Road to UFC: Japan reality TV show featherweight final. Here’s a look at the complete lineup:
