Several weeks ago, Miesha Tate was promised a third opportunity to attempt to solve the puzzle that is Ronda Rousey. However, following the UFC champion’s appearance on Good Morning America on Thursday, it became clear that the promotion had decided to pass over Tate for the next title shot.
Following the announcement that UFC 195 will feature a headlining bout between Rousey and Holly Holm, Tate’s manager spoke to MMAFighting.com and revealed that the announcement was made before Tate was even informed that she had been overlooked.

Tate had already gone under the assumption that her title shot was a guaranteed one, as she made a recent appearance on the MMA Hour to stake her claim.

UFC 195 is scheduled to take place January 2 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
