Earlier in May, bantamweight title challenger Bethe Correia may have crossed the line when she made suicide slurs against her upcoming opponent, Ronda Rousey. The Brazilian later apologized to ‘Rowdy’ on Twitter after she claimed she was unaware of Rousey’s father committing suicide when she was just eight years old.

UFC president Dana White may have stirred the pot some more on The Doug Gottlieb Show last week when he said Correia ‘absolutely’ knew about Rousey’s situation prior to making the comments. The head promoter compared Correia to Conor McGregor and claimed that ‘she’s been playing that game’ with Ronda Rousey.

“She absolutely did,” White said. “She’s been playing that game. There’s people that are really good at playing the head games. Conor McGregor is one of the best I’ve ever seen. And Bethe has been doing that for sure. But Ronda is a tough one to do it with. Ronda is one of the most mentally strong human beings I’ve ever met in my life.”

The trash talk will cease when the cage door closes on August 1st for the main event of UFC 190. Ronda Rousey and Bethe Correia will fight for the women’s bantamweight title at the HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
