Nieky Holzken wants Paul Daley at Dynamite, says he can KO Mayweather

At the upcoming Glory 23 event (August 7 live from Las Vegas), consensus #1 Welterweight in the world Nieky Holzken is in action, facing Raymond Daniels for the vacant Glory Welterweight title. With over 100 fights to his credit and an unblemished Glory record that extends all the way back to Glory 1, Holzken is undeniably one of the world’s top kickboxers, not only at Welterweight, but across all divisions. Now, he’s looking to not only beat Daniels, but take out another big name as well.

In this short video, Holzken calls out Bellator/Glory fighter Paul Daley, challenging the KO artist to a kickboxing match at the Bellator/Glory Dynamite event on September 19. Take a look:

Daley is already announced for Dynamite in a kickboxing match, but his opponent is not yet named. Holzken would make for a great fight, and would be very welcome, but with Bellator angling for a Daley vs. Josh Koscheck MMA fight later this year, and considering Daley would be the significant underdog to Holzken, I would not count on this happening.

For extra measure, Holzken also throws this in, sure to rile up some boxing fans:

“I’ve never been more ready in my life than now. I am a fan of [Floyd] Mayweather, but in the shape I am in now, I would even knock him out.”

Holzken has fought at times as a professional boxer in the past 2 years, putting together an 8-0 record with 7 KOs.

Of course, all this talk could be derailed at Glory 23 if Raymond Daniels plays spoiler.

Watch Holzken vs. Daniels for the Welterweight title and the rest of Glory 23 live on Spike TV on Friday, August 7, and join us here for live Glory 23 coverage, plus much more on Dynamite.
