Animosity goes a long way toward selling a fight, and it looks like Team Alpha Male may be working overtime to build some real animosity with UFC 189 headliner Conor McGregor. McGregor is set to face off against top Alpha Male talent Chad Mendes at on Saturday at the MGM Grand on PPV. But, before McGregor even stepped on the scales, he got into things a little bit with the Alpha Male himself, Urijah Faber.

It’s unclear exactly what this scuffle was about from the brief video, but it looks like it went from friendly to threatening in a hurry.

Mendes stepped in on reasonably short notice for the injured Jose Aldo, but a feud between himself and the Irish featherweight star has been brooding for quite a while now, ever since McGregor was brought on to confront Mendes in an interview for Mendes’ second title shot with Jose Aldo. UFC 189 takes place Saturday, July 11th in Las Vegas, Nevada, stay tuned to Bloody Elbow for more live event coverage and breaking news.
